Always my friend! You are an inspiration and a light in my life! In so many lives! And I am really loving all of your Haiku. You have a gift for it, which totally makes sense to me. Haiku is not an easy thing to master.

Thank you, dear. So much. I am so glad I followed Bojanaβs suggestion to give it a try. As much as it pains me to to say…she was right. It does suit me.
Grumble grumble
March 20, 2018 at 10:56 am
It so does! I think Bojana is a bit of a guru to us both. She knows so much about poetry and has such a deep love for it. We are all lucky to have found each other.
March 20, 2018 at 12:02 pm
I agree, Susan. Finding is way better than losing. Hereβs to being found!!!

Yaaaay!!!! So excited, dear. Wonderful.
I absolutely loved it. Prevailing optimism despite the harsh reality which is not always easy to accept with grace.
Loved her Diving and, Offering, and Sharpening.
I especially loved the ending. It reminded me of a poem by Adrian Mitchel I absolutely adore:
The Castaways or Vote for the Caliban
where a plane falls into the sea with 5 survivors who, though stranded on a desert island, decide to pick up where they’ve left off with their lives. All but Mary, the eccentric widow who in the end opens her eyes wide to the usual incredible sunset, being the only one who stops to admire all the beauty.
March 20, 2018 at 3:58 pm
Thank you Bojana! The poem sounds beautiful! I will find it!
March 20, 2018 at 9:27 pm
Please do. You’ll love it.
March 21, 2018 at 6:36 am
I love the whimsical nature of it, but also the message that no matter the circumstance, we are who we are. I like poems that are stories and feel simple but hold so much.
March 21, 2018 at 6:47 am
Me too. Glad you liked it.
Yes, we are who we are, if you can’t fit, they we don’t (even try). We choose to remain loyal to ourselves, regardless of how the rest of the world sees us.
March 21, 2018 at 6:58 am
There is so much stumbling to get to the point of embracing this, but once we do, it is an immense feeling of liberation! I truly believe that you help people do this Bojana; you are this kind of force in the world because of your own sense of self.

I’ll blow you away like gentle dandelion seeds, watching you fly high from the ground.
March 21, 2018 at 7:40 am
I love this! I am inspired for the day!
March 21, 2018 at 8:09 am
See you tomorrow then.
March 20, 2018 at 3:25 pm
I love these poems, Susan. All of them.
“Breath” is just wow.
“Legs” is intense. These lines from it are evocative:
“They will borrow your soul
for just a little while,
and return it intact.
They promise.”
March 20, 2018 at 3:59 pm
Oh, this makes me so happy!!!! Thank you Wulf!
