1st…congrats on the publishing.
Wow these are some powerful words, Susan. I feel these are connected. Separate they are amazing pieces of power. Combined and read one after the other transports me through a different and difficult journey. That may just be my odd-little-mind on overdrive, but it really did.

Thank you Wulf!!! I adore your mind and love that you read them the way you did. The poems all come from an intensely difficult time; thankfully it was a very long time ago.

Wow. Incredible writing! You inspire me to write more!! I sent my poem to a poetry contest! Of course then I read past winners and felt totally stupid. Still it’s a decent poem. I guess I should be selective where I send stuff.

Sarah, it is awesome that you submitted it!!!!! Try not to second guess yourself. You are putting your work out there and that is fantastic. It took me a while to get into a groove with submissions and I still struggle with it sometimes. I am thrilled that you are inspired to write more! I can’t wait to read your poem!!!!!

I love your deceits, your rage of fire and forgetfulness, your unfurling secrets and lies, your heavy cloak of resentment, your bitterness and ravaged lives.
Sombre and thick with emotion. Masterful.

I was a long time ago and a very hard time, but one that taught me so much.
