Over the past week, we have been oppressed by miserably hot weather, unyielding sun and bouts of uncontrollable crankiness (from me anyway). But, last night, thunder and lightning broke the sky open, let the rain in and cooled the air. I woke up this morning in a great mood, ready to resume dancing and dreaming and all things delicious! It’s a great start to a week that will end in the launch of “Tiger Lily”!!!! I can’t believe it’s already here! Jane Cornwell and I are over the moon and would love for you to join us for our Poetry Party, celebrating the release of our book! You can bring your favourite poem to read, or just come to hang out and hear some poetry, you can be on camera or off camera; whatever you choose, it will be a lovely evening! You can sign up by clicking here.
If you are interested in hearing more about my town, my family, and of course “Tiger Lily”, you can listen to the Clonmel Podcast! I was fortunate to have a chat with host Mark Whelan last week! You can listen here.
I am incredibly lucky to have had my book, “Things My Mother Left Behind“, from Potter’s Grove Press, published and read and shared, and to have a second book coming out into the world is an unbelievable gift. I am so grateful for the support and kindness I have felt from this community, even when I am performing the disappearing act I have spent a lifetime practising.

Congratulations Susan. The last line made me smile. It’s difficult for goodness and talent to disappear. 🙂

I am so inspired by you (always!!) You somehow help me get over my fears watching you do this.

That is the most incredible compliment you could ever give me, Sarah! I am so grateful for you and so in awe of the strength and courage in you that I have seen up close. Just before coming back to the blog to find your message, I was writing about fear. Funny how that happens……
