It has been a turbulent year. I haven’t done a lot of writing and almost no submitting, but I did have a few poems come out this month. Right now, it is all I have to share.
I already shared the poem in Orange Blossom Review, but if you would like to have another peek, you can do so here. My poem “Wax” appeared in Fresh Air Poetry, a new publication from the former editor of Amaryllis, Stephen Daniels. I also have a poem in this months Burning House Press that you can read here.

And that is enough.I love your poetry Susan and whenever and whatever you write is a treat for this poetic heart of mine
I can’t fathom the problem you are facing but all I can tell you is that you and your poetry is much needed here.

This is an amazing thing to say, Wendi! Thank you so very much!
July 14, 2019 at 12:00 pm
it is always a pleasure to read your work.
July 14, 2019 at 10:04 am
Wow, Susan!! You never cease to amaze me. Wax captures the voice is chaos and desperation like nothing I’ve read. And The Taste of Rage is just that – it truly leaves the reader with a tangible taste of it. It resonates. So good, both of them!!
July 14, 2019 at 10:37 am
Thank you so much, Angela! You always lift me up and inspire me! So much love to you!
July 14, 2019 at 10:41 am
The pleasure is mine! Love to you as well. 💜
July 14, 2019 at 10:40 am
Love all of them. They are painfully gorgeous.
It’s not the quantity that counts.
July 14, 2019 at 12:03 pm
Thank you, Gorgeous Lady! Sending love to you!
July 14, 2019 at 11:25 am
Susan, your poetry is always beautiful and inspiring. It is those who are truly gifted who doubt the power of their gift. You keep doing what you’re doing. 🙂
July 14, 2019 at 12:05 pm
You always lift me up, Steven. Thank you, so much for your kindness and encouragement! You know how I feel about your work! I haven’t had the energy to read, much less write, but I have all of your posts saved to read when my head is less cloudy.
July 14, 2019 at 3:51 pm
No worries. I hope things improve for you, and all those clouds disappear.
July 14, 2019 at 11:46 am
…and sometimes that is all that is needed! I will head over and read your beautiful words right now.
July 14, 2019 at 12:06 pm
