I was tagged a few days ago to participate in the black and white photo challenge by Grace, the creator of MS Graceful…NOT If you aren’t familiar with Grace, go and check out her blog, and meet a woman who is strong as hell, funny, kind, talented and can swear with the best of them. I am honored that she is my friend!
You know there are always rules to everything in life! The rules for this are straightforward. Seven days. Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day (Participate if you feel compelled to do so).

You are making it even more fun, Wulf!!!! You are reminding me of things I had forgotten writing about. I was walking home from the bus stop the other day and I just started taking pictures of my neighborhood; it is cool to see it in this new way. When I am actually taking the pictures, I can’t see much at all; I just click the button and hope for the best.

That is wonderful to hear and I wouldn’t want you taking them any other way.

It is also mentioned in the John Irving novel,”Until I Find You”.

Your photos have strong lines, would I be right in thinking that it is a feature that stands out for you visually? I’ve really loved your photos. Black & white photography is my favourite medium anyway, but your pictures are really striking and somehow nostalgic.

Thank you so much!!!! I actually almost never take pictures(especially outside) because I can’t really see much on the screen, so I think these were just luck and a good camera…..but perhaps also the familiarity with my neighborhood. I also love the black and white; it gives an especially nostalgic feeling to Hollywood, I think! You have me thinking about the strong lines in regard to what I see…I am going to explore that more.

Oddly, I think I am too! I have walked these streets so often and see so much, but this has been a new and different way of seeing it. It makes me so happy that you are enjoying the pictures!!!!
July 16, 2018 at 12:34 pm
It always looks different through the lens, I think. Like seeing places we know through the eyes of another.
July 16, 2018 at 12:36 pm
You are definitely part of why I am seeing it differently. It’s so cool! It is what art is all about really, isn’t it?
July 16, 2018 at 12:45 pm
That’s right!
And I too love how our photos are so different. I’ve never been to LA and your photos give me a real insider’s view.
